EURAGRI Conference 2018:
Cross Sectoral Opportunities in the Bio-economy and the Implementation of the SDGs

Since the UN adopted the global sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for 2016 –2030 - 2050, they have become a core concept of European and national funding strategies. Science, technology and research within the field of the bio-economy and the agro, food, aqua, and forest sector(s) are vital means to reach the SDGs. The Norwegian Research Council and EURAGRI invite you to address the various dimensions of SDGs and their implementation in research and innovation. We wish among other concerns to discuss the following questions:
- What are the appropriate instruments and processes needed for the European research system to address the challenges?
- How do we know that the approaches chosen are relevant?
- How do we coordinate approaches with important actors outside the research system?
- How can we include an improved and a continued reflexivity function into the overall process?
